Karin Fest is a film scholar and project manager.

She was a research assistant at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for History and Society with a focus on film and media studies, visual culture and film mediation. Fest worked in the projects: “Like Seen on the Screen. The Media and our Environment” (2010-2012, Sparkling Science) and “Amateur Film Archeology. Excavations in modern visual culture” (2011-2013, FWF Austrian Science Fund) and was a member of the international research network BTWH (Berkeley/Tübingen/Vienna/Harvard).
