Veronika Duma

Veronika Duma is a research associate at the Chair for Research on the History and Impact of the Holocaust at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.

Veronika Duma studied history at the University of Vienna and in Frankfurt. In 2013-2016 she was a project assistant there at the Institute of History with Univ. Prof.in Gabriella Hauch, and from 2017 to 2018 she was a Marietta Blau Fellow of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW) in the USA (Princeton University, University of New Orleans/Center Austria) and in Germany (Centre for Contemporary History Potsdam, Ravensbrück Memorial). In June 2018, she defended her dissertation on the Austrian social democrat, survivor of the Ravensbrück women’s concentration camp and contemporary witness Rosa Jochmann. (Rosa Jochmann. A Biographical (Re-)Construction from a Gender Historical Perspective).

At the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Digital History (LBIDH), Veronika Duma contributed to the project “Red Vienna Sourcebook” (2017-2020, City of Vienna MA 7, chapter editor) which was carried out together with the Verein für Geschichte der ArbeiterInnenbewegung (VGA, Austrian Labor History Society).
