Christiana Perschon is a filmmaker and artist.

She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, worked for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) and for the Austrian Media Library.

From 2011 to 2017 she worked at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for History and Society (LBIGG), which was renamed Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Digital History (LBIDH) in March 2019. Her focus was on media design and film studies analysis in the research projects: “Film.Stadt.Wien. A Transdisciplinary Exploration of Vienna as a Cinematic City” (2009-2011, WWTF Vienna Science and Technology Fund); “Like Seen on the Screen. The Media and our Environment” (2010-2012, Sparkling Science)” (2010-2012, Sparkling Science); “Amateur Film Archeology. Excavations in modern visual culture” (2011-2013, FWF Austrian Science Fund); “Sichtung und Aufarbeitung des Filmarchivbestandes media wien” (“Exploration and processing of the media wien film archive holdings” (2011-2017, City of Vienna MA 7); “Exploring the interwar world: The travelogues of Colin Ross (1885-1945)” (2015-2017, FWF Austrian Science Fund)
